Joe Pastor has made a name for himself among St. Louis blues and jazz musicians and audiences for his skills as a drummer, percussionist, vocalist, and songwriter/composer. He has performed with the late Rock Roll Hall of fame inductee Johnnie Johnson, including the 2005 album "Johnnie B. Eighty," and with Canada's Juno Award winning Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne, including appearances on his album "Can't Stop Now." He has performed as drummer with Bennie Smith, Soulard Blues Band, Kim Massie, and Rough Grooves.
Joe also spends much of his time teaching in the classroom and in the lesson studio, holding appointments at DeSmet Jesuit High School, The St. Louis Catholic Academy, Washington University, The Webster Community Music School, and Drum Headquarters.
Joe Pastor is a member of the American Federation of Musicians local 2-192. He holds a bachelor of music degree in jazz performance and has lived and worked in Branson MO (a full time position in the Legends in Concert drum chair) and New York City.
